2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame | The White Stripes

2025 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

November 2025

I originally designed this for the Button Contest, which took place in July. So for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction of The White Stripes, I changed the colors to match their signature red, white and black palette. Of course you I had to include the TMR lightening bolts! I was a late bloomer when it came to the band. I was wrapped up in the hip hop community, working day and night to achieve my dreams and the dreams of people in my circle. We don’t all get to reach Hall of Fame level, but I’m proud of the work we did.

When I got sick in 2015, I had to slow down. While recovering in the hospital after my first surgery, I finally listened and finally understood why The White Stripes touched the bleeding hearts of their fans. Meg White reminded me of my sister. Shy, quiet, but sharp tongued. Jack White channeled so many different genres, sounds, styles, techniques, and so on. It was truly eye-opening. He, and the fine people at Third Man Records, are probably the last bridge linking old and new. Preservation. That means everything to me.

Congratulations to this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Thank you for telling your stories, being vulnerable, never backing down. Thank you for making timeless music and memories. Music my mother introduced me to. Music we heard for the first time together. Music I shared with her. How lucky we are to have these symphonies in our lives. They have been shared for generations and will continue to inspire many more. It all starts in a little room.
